worth the price
Needed a good compression garment after my tummy tuck. It was worth the price and became my go to piece. I am 5'5 and 160lbs I purchased an XL and it fit great. It fit well and was not too tight. I liked the front clips that would allow me to undo part of the garment if needed. The garment was a good length as well. It rested right under my breast and felt comfortable to wear with a bra. the straps did not cut into my shoulders either.

Good quality, beware of zipper
This is a very good quality garment and I tried very much to make this work. I am a small person who needed a postop binder. The zipper on the side goes right over my hip bone where I have an incision and despite trying to pad under it it is not possible to wear. Otherwise it is very well-made and I think it would be comfortable.

Uncomfortable
I purchased this a few weeks early to wear when my swelling from surgery goes down and I no longer have to wear foam. Well, I'm wearing it for the first time, and it's awful. The edge of panel at the crotch (one side is hooks, and the other is eyes - it's the eye panel) is so stiff, the corners dig into my inner thighs. I have to wear it at the top most hooks, because I have a short torso... I can't imagine how much more painful this would be if the panel was lower, right in between my legs. Also, the plastic pieces on the shoulder straps dig in as well. The compression garment provided by my plastic surgeon was sooooo well made and addressed all of these issues. They did give me a smaller one, but it would have been nice to have this to wear as an alternate. Unfortunately, because I purchased it too early I can't return it.

Great product
I love this garment. The only issue was it was too short in the torso so it was digging in at the crotch opening. Not sure if that could be solved with some measurement

Works with a few additions!
I agree with others - the arm straps dig into your skin. For a recovery item, this definitely needs perfecting. The straps should be moved more toward the front of the axilla (armpit). I’m petite usually a zero and two in clothing, I can be a xs in “regular” sized clothing. I am/was 125 lbs and size 36c (post pregnancy) and 5’ tall so with measurements and traditional sizes I bought a medium. My measurements had put me across three Sizes M-XL. Anything bigger than a M would have been quite loose. It’s perfect. I wear a t shirt and granny underwear underneath to prevent any chafing as recommended by my surgeon. it makes adjustments so much easier and better. I don’t worry about rubbing and misaligning any ABD pads keeping my surgical site undisturbed. With that said, it’s a 3 rating product because the digging is a major flaw for the price. Nothing can be done about it since I read this is common. It really hurts my skin and I constantly need to adjust it. I say bring the connector piece higher or move toward the back like traditional bras, so that it’s not in the area where we naturally close our arms causing that piece to dig. Also, the seller is an authorized seller so it’s a big deal that they offer return/exchange thru Amazon since Marena Group LLC doesn’t accept returns though IDK if they offer replacements which unfortunately results in some horror reviews I read that comes with the territory. Overall, I am keeping it. I need it and it’s functional though wish there was a more comfortable option. Not that I know of so sticking with this one.

Great for after surgery
First - the reviews showing used items received. That is from the Amazon warehouse not Marena. If you happen to get one used, just exchange/return it.For the actual product review - I tried multiple garments after my surgery and I should have just started here to begin with. I have a short torso (5') and all of the others rode up too high under the breast area. The material is comfortable and soft but provides the right compression. The diagonal hooks made it easy to put on myself, but also took the pressure of my ETT side incisions. I love that the crotch has a closure instead of just an open area too. Helps with piece of mind that nothing is splashing up while doing your business. The bikini style was great too since I have small thighs and all of the others I tried were too baggy right there. When ordering your size, focus on your waist measurements. I am normally a S/XS (5', 110 lbs) and ordered a medium for this stage 1 based on my waist measurement (w/the swelling). It gave room for the swelling and allowed me to move the hooks tighter as the swelling went down.I took 1 star off, because the straps could have some extra cushion in them to make that more comfortable for all day wear. If they are overly digging into your sides you need to loosen them. :-) Otherwise, I would (and have) purchase again!!

DO NOT SIZE UP, SAVE THE MONEY!
Let’s settle this dispute once and for all, I bought this product as I had to have extensive abdominal surgery and muscle repair. My doctor indicated I need a compression garment to help me get around and reduce swelling. When I read all of the Marena reviews and everything indicated to size up as they run small, even my doctor said you will be swollen so go up from your normal size. I am 5’7 and 150lbs I typically wear a size 4-6. Based on Marenas measurements I sized up two times anticipating my swelling pushing me a size up. I bought an XL which was even post surgery too big, then I went and bought a Large which fit immediately post surgery but by week 2 was also TOO LARGE then I finally bought the Medium based on my measurements. The garment has 3 different tightness options I’m currently on the middle one, I am however confident I could have saved 200 dollars had I not listened to these reviews. Just measure your waistline, if you’re having surgery find a garment that has the feature of being able to go tighter or looser like this one. Do not waste your money on sizing up, unless you are one of those people that try to wish your waistline slimmer. Follow the measurements on the chart and you’ll do fine!
