Excellent tactical pants for outdoor and casual wear! Highly recommended!
Let me begin by explaining why tactical pants are so important to my daily routine.I am not new to this kind of pants. I have been wearing military tactical pants to work for the past decade. You see, I work in a warehouse setting where I deal with all sorts of rolling equipment that have edges that can easily rip through clothing. It is very important that I come to work dressed in pants that can withstand tears. To date, I have been wearing military BDU pants. These are probably the most well-built pants that one can buy. After all, they are used by military soldiers. There is a website dedicated to the sale of BDU wear and I have been dealing with them for years.I happened to come across these pair of tactical pants from Hard Land and thought that I would give them a try. It was a blind purchase, as at the time of this writing, there are no Amazon reviews. I am proud to be the first to put these pants to the test.I bought this pants in navy blue. At the time of ordering, there was only navy blue and green selections available. I do hope there will be more colors available in the future. Black would have been my choice. The pants arrived within two days with Prime shipping. They arrived well packaged.Taking the pants out of the package, I could immediately sense that this was well-constructed. The fabric had a heavy feel to it, with a good amount of stitching. Upon slipping my legs into the pants and pulling it up to my waist, I was pleased to find that it fit perfectly. No excessive bagginess to be had and it hugged my rear very nicely. Most importantly, though the fabric is tough (65% Polyester and 35% cotton rip-stop), the pants didn't feel too heavy. In fact, they felt as light as the many BDU pants that I have been used to wearing over the years.Because I knew I wanted to do a review on these pants, I took the liberty of walking around the house and doing some bending to see how flexible these tactical pants were. There was a lot of leeway in the fabric allowing full movement without any restriction. The only sizing issue that I had was the fact that being a short guy, my inseam is 29. These pants start with an inseam of 30. The legs were very long, but I am taking it to a tailor later today to get it taken in.These pants have pockets all over the place. There are standard pockets for throwing your keys or wallet into. There are extremely deep velcro enclosed side pockets further down that fit my large iPhone 7S Plus perfectly. There are velcro enclosed back pockets as well. The description of these pants indicates 14 pockets in all. That may indeed be the case -- I would not doubt the manufacturer's description. I just haven't found them all yet. I can say that there is a multitude of storage pockets in various sizes and some pockets have slits in them with additional pockets. So, these pants are designed to store and carry quite a bit of personal gear.Additionally, two things I am happy to see here is a solid keychain holder on the front loop of the pants, and, large enough waist loops to handle a military type belt. Let me also point out that the front zipper is well constructed and the fastening button at the waist has ample stitching behind it.As someone who has been wearing tactical/BDU pants for years, I want to point out to those of you who may be unfamiliar with them that these can be worn for any occasion. The great thing about these type of pants is that while they are made for aggressive outdoor activities, they also make for great casual wear. I have walked into restaurants wearing these pants with a nice polo shirt. When I am hanging out with friends, these are the most comfortable types of pants to lounge around in. They have so much more "give" than normal jeans that despite the heavy fabric, you tend to think you are not wearing anything at all.If there is anything negative to say about these pants is that are priced a bit high. Most BDU pants can be had for between $25-$30. Personally, after trying on the product and seeing that it had more pockets than my normal BDU wear (plus the keychain holder), I didn't quite mind paying more. I like these pants so much that I plan on buying more, but I am going to wait for a sale. So, from someone very familiar with this kind of pants, let me be the first to say that these live up to what one should expect from tactical wear. These pants look great. They fit great. There is lots of flexibility once inside them. They are made to withstand the rain. As perfect as they can be for outdoor use, I think many of you will find that they also make for the most comfortable casual wear pants --- far better than jeans.I have no major issues with these pants. I would highly recommend them! These really are top-notch in construction. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Perfect for outdoor excursions in cooler temps
My husband does field work all year long, so I got these for his birthday. They've already come in handy in the cold, rain and snow he's experienced. He loves how substantial they are. They fit as expected and look good on.

very durable tactical pants
This Hardland tactical pants are made out of a polyester (65%) and cotton (35%) fabric combination which makes them very durable. The seat and knees are double-reinforced, so I’ll be able to bend, seat, kneel, or crawl comfortably if needed. These pants have multiple pockets specially sized for tactical use. The only cons I can think is the pants might not suit for wearing in summer, since its heavy-duty fabric--polyester will not allow to breathe as well as cotton would.

Size is off
I'm 5'9" tall and 175 pounds. I bought the 34 waist 30 inseam after reading some of the reviews regarding the fit. I normally wear a 32×32 jeans. This pant is definitely not 34 and fits more like 32 which is what I expected. You should be able to get another inch from the elastic waist. The inseam also feels long; more like a 32 so it seems that the waist is smaller than the size and the inseam longer than the size. The legs are a bit wider than your typical pant so is a little baggy. I doubt these pants are waterproof and I dont expect it to be, as long as they are water resistant. The water does bead off the pant pretty well when I ran it under a sink. Bought this to wear for ocean kayak fishing and hoping it'll keep me dry after landing fish on my lap all day. Build quality looks good and all the stitching look good. Plenty of pockets like a cargo pant. I guess time will tell on its durability and water resistance. Seems a little overpriced. Wish it was more like $35 -$40.

Nice pants
I bought these pants for a 3 week hiking trip coming up. I shall see how they perform. These pants seem high quality. Lots of pockets.....probably more than I will ever need but maybe not. Nice to have for hiking and camping. Pants size/fit are right on for me as hiking pants. Kind of baggy and would not wear them for anything other hiking/outdoor activities. The fabric is thicker than I expected. To me, if you rip these pants you most likely need a trip to the emergency room. I have washed these pants 5 times in the hope to work some of the “new” out of them. No shrinking....still like new. Probably should take them down the river and beat the new out of them on rocks.I’ll see how they hold up on the trail but I’m thinking A second pair is in my future.

Comfortable, waterproof, weatherproof, & Iceland tested!
These tactical pants were great for the unexpected weather of Iceland. They were warm for hiking a glacier, waterproof enough to get up close to waterfalls and solid through the volcano climb. If you’re looking for something to brave the elements with convienent pockets and quality material, look no further!

Good pants but order a size up
So here’s what I’ve found out about these pants , I work for the phone company and need some good reliable pants that are comfortable . Found these and seems like they would suit my needs . I wear a 32 in most pants so i read the sizing chart and it said 32 goes from 31.5 to 35 based on the elastic waiste . Well they barely buttoned so order a size up from whatever you wear , they seem like nice pants I just haven’t had the chance to try them out

Giving the HARD LAND WATERPROOF TACTICAL PANTS A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY
I just received these cargo pants two days ago. I tried them on, they fit good as a relaxed fit. For me thats perfect. If I want to put a thin light weight insulator under them I have room for that. We're taking a trip out west, Glacier National Forrest, Montana. Yellowstone Park, Wyoming. Also going to see some of Idaho, and Utah. So I think these tactical cargo pants will do well. I even thought about using them to ride my Harley Davidson on days there may be a rain shower or two. The closer it gets to Fall the more I think about a thin pair of insulators under them. There is a lot of different things I can use these tactical cargo pants for. If they do really well I'll buy another pair and give a write up about my trip at that time.

Wore well through winter.
Firstly the trousers are good, I had to spray them with a waterproofing agent two months after receiving them though, as rain (wet) started to come through the trousers to my legs = I'm a van driver carrying out home shopping for a large supermarket.Pocket lining where I keep my change started to wear through four months after purchase (September) although it didn't go through enough for the coins to come out. Some of the Velcro patches came off, and by March of this year, some stitching had undone and produced gaps...Overall, I like the trousers, they are warm and once I'd sprayed them with an outdoor garment waterproofing spray recommended from Millets, they 'were' waterproof.I'm intending to take the trousers to a clothes repair shop to redo the stitching and replace the Velcro patches and do something with the side pocket lining (replace?).Once the repairs are done, they'll be ready for wearing again October thru to April 2021.As I said, a good pair of trousers overall which are comfy, good quality (bar some stitching/Velcro), plenty of room and do the job required as a van driver.

Heavy-duty and shower proof
This is a really heavy-duty pair of trousers perfect for site work, gardening or golf. There are plenty of handy pockets and the trousers are definitely shower proof. Unlike some of the heavy-duty fully waterproof work pants they do not cause you to sweat presumably because they are breathable.I bought the navy blue trousers and will definitely buy another pair in black.Fit is excellent as there is plenty of give in the waist.Very happy.

Very good design with extra pockets. And waterproof.
I ordered 38 to 40 inch waist size. When I put them on the waist size was ok but the leg length was 40 inch long but I am a 32 inch leg size because I like the design and the extra pockets on these army style trousers I have turned up the bottom of the legs to use them. I went out today in the rain. And yes they are waterproof. I think I will cut the legs down and stitch them up. I think these are a very good buy. I have been going out for long walks and due to the winter arriving and with it more rainy weather I brought these so I could still go out for long walks knowing they are waterproof. Plus the grey colour looks good to. Just be careful when ordering to pick the right size.

Great trousers
2nd pair I've had, first pair I wore out but they are the best work trousers I have had . Not waterproof more like slightly resistant. Nevertheless they are excellent if a bit pricey and pockets are in the correct places and last longer than most work trouser pockets.

Hard wearing trousers
Really well made heavy duty trousers. Proper zips and fastenings for the pockets. Really decent pair of work wear trousers
