The feel is more robust than the original OEM version, and they function just the same as the OEM version giving you the same level of control. Color is about the same and the OEM version, but you won't notice once you replace both. Bare in mind that you will need to have these program to your truck, so you'll need to take it to your local Chevy Dealer or anyone that might have a reprogramming device for these trucks which should bring ease of setup. These are a must buy if you're looking to replace your old Key Fobs.

Unfortunately my production model was one of the few that had a manufacturers "Lockout" for coding method that only the manufacturer (GM) can unlock and program. I went to several local lock smiths to verify and all said the same. So returned these to desertcart. But otherwise for the money and quality of the remotes, I'm silently cursing GM.. (sigh) as these were awesome.

**Q: Does it come programed**
A: No- I took to my car dealer and they took care of programming it for a fee.

**Q: Does this come with metal battery retaining clip?**
A: This is a complete and actual fob with battery and electronic inside.

**Q: Are these remotes GM Certified?**
A: When I asked about getting them programmed, the dealership told me they could, but here in Texas it would cost $50.00. It worked fine when I had it programmed, but I never asked about it being GM qualified. Hope this helps.

**Q: How do you program it to a vehicle? Or do have to take it to a locksmith?**
A: Take it to your cars dealer( I did it when I had an oil change done). They have to program it to your car. It cost $15- $30 total cost.

These let fobs are no way close to OEM. I got these and only 1 was able to be programmed. The locksmith said the 1 that worked may de-program itself in the future. These key bobs are way lighter than the OEM one I had which means they are not quality. They cannot be self programmed, you have to pay a locksmith to program them.
