Pacifica, Foundation Warm Light Country Chef Cream, 1 Fl Oz

I have used this product for a couple years and love it! Especially after the shower, it adds minimal natural coverage and moisturizes great. HOWEVER, this is the first time I bought on Amazon and the product was completely unusable and filled with leaky oil that kept coming out. Very dissapointed and will never buy this from Amazon again!

I have tried so many foundations in the past years and my skin is very sensitive when it comes of colored cream or foundations. I can definitely say I've finally found a product that is so gentle on the skin and super lightweight. It matches my skin perfectly and gives a natural look at the same time. Great for everyday wear!!

I have been using Pacifica for many years now. It is my go to foundation. However the small plastic bottle with pump has been replaced with glass? The glass container is heavier and the pump does not work well . You have to keep shaking the bottle to get any product to pump through. Unfortunately a badly newly designed bottle in my opinion. I accidentally knocked over the bottle while traveling and the glass shattered on the bathroom floor what a mess ! plus cleanup and now useless. I wish Pacifica would go back to the original small plastic container as the pump worked better and was lighter to travel with. Unless glass does something to preserve the foundation this was a bad marketing decision.

I’ve been wearing Pacifica CC cream for about 6 or 7 years and it is the best tinted sunscreen I’ve ever used. I use it as my foundation for evening as well because it just looks so much more natural than any foundation I’ve found, and I don’t like the heavy makeup look (I think it makes me look older, and makes me feel like a clown). It gives my skin an even skin tone, eliminating any redness or splotchiness, and gently camouflaging spots. My skin looks dewy and healthy. A subtle dusting of powder (bare minerals or juice beauty) on the nose to tame the shine, and voilà! I’m 52yo with combo skin, mostly delicate and dry. My skin is Caucasian with some warm & olive tones (I tan easily). I also love the subtle but fresh fragrance when first applying (it doesn’t linger). It feels creamy and yummy. I couldn’t be happier with it and hope they never discontinue!!

UPDATE: My original review complained of the pump (see below). Looks like they’ve tried to update their bottle, but not for the better. Felt there was more product inside that to be pump was once again not getting. Opened it up and was horrified to find mold growing in the bottle. Absolutely disgusting. This product continues to disappoint. Will not purchase from them again and would not recommend. As others have said, the product itself is great. I love it. It’s a light foundation that I wear daily. It’s perfect for women like me who don’t wear a ton of makeup but still want to even out their skin. I’ve used it for almost two years now and have never had a complaint about the actual foundation. However, the packaging/bottle itself is horrific. The pump NEVER works consistently and hasn’t for awhile (I get this every two months). I hope Pacifica actually listens to their customers and offers a higher quality packaging. A squeezable tube would be 10x better than this cheap plastic pump. The foundation is too thick and it just doesn’t work. I have to unscrew the top and use the tube to scrape the foundation out of the bottle. This isn’t hygienic and if it doesn’t get resolved I’m going to look for another product.

UPDATE: I'm updating my review since I ran into a problem with this product. Although I still like the product itself, the pump quit working, & since I've only used it maybe 5 times, I don't think it's from overuse. I tried everything I could think of to get it to pump out again, but nothing worked. I thought it was clogged, so I even tried sticking a wire in the opening to clean it, but that didn't help. The only way I can use it now is by prying the entire top off (not easy) and dipping into the cream with my fingers. Very disappointing, since I did like the product. (My original review:) I have very fair skin, so I ordered the Light/Warm color. At first, I thought it was going to be too dark, as it looked quite dark when I first pumped it out. However, it somehow changes/blends into your skin tone, and it didn't look too dark after I applied it. I wasn't sure what to expect as some of the reviews said it was "too sheer", etc., but I found the coverage to be just right -- not too sheer or too heavy. I have a lot of freckles/discoloration on my skin, yet at at my age (64) heavier foundations can look cakey. But this foundation covered well and didn't look too heavy or cakey. I also have sensitive skin, and this didn't irritate it; I've been using it for a few days now with no problems. I like Pacifica products in general, and this is a good value for the price; it's a small container, but it'll last a long time since you use such a small amount.

My daughter and I use the same color. I use it to tint sunscreen and it acts as my foundation. She has lighter, but oilier/dewy skin and often uses it by itself. I mean, it won't spread on my drier skin without the additional sunscreen, but she often uses it straight. It can even get too light (on her lighter skin???) for her if she uses it with sunscreen. The formulation is wonderful for us as we have become allergic to Every Other Foundation we have tried, including the mainstream ones I used to use like Covergirl and Maybelline. We had to search this out online when our Whole Foods stopped carrying it in the store. It's expensive (not so bad for me since I dilute it), but if you have allergies, it's great!
