The pouch actually looked like that fake vinyl stuff, but in real life... It's a thick, soft leather. I would've preferred a different color, but the blue/turquoise is alright, just not my color preference.The inside has several pockets and I am using this pouch for my jewelry tools. The slots are sturdy and holding a long pair of scissors, and four different jewelry tools including a pair of bent chain-nose pliers. I'm impressed that the slots are big enough to accommodate these pliers since they take up more room than almost everything else.There is a flap that comes attached in the middle top area that is great for holding tools in place. The flap also has a clear business card holder in case you wish to do traveling with your pouch.This is a really nice pouch and I am very pleased. I would buy one again. Hell! If they made one in purple, I'd buy it even though I don't need one. Especially on the end slots they stick out when you close it. You have to alternate top bottom every other one, starting the second slots on either side.
