Great
Yes it had a surprising bit of religious input. The author's personal story was moving. I like the information and how easy the chapters was to read. I do wish it would have ended on a better note. It kind of just went straight into the dog part. Sorry for ruining it "spoiler alert".

Antioxidant Diet
I have enjoyed reading and following these guidelines on treating my body right. I will not abuse my self anymore . I didn't know that food played such a big part in so many ailments.

*Kindle Edition* - A book that tries to do too many things --
I purchased the Kindle edition of this book and read it in one sitting. It's easy to do that since most of the book is comprised of recipes. Although there's solid advice regarding food choices that are antioxidant in nature, I found the book to be annoying in the sense that it ventured into other realms of health. It's almost like it wanted to be a self-help book, a spiritual awareness manual, and even an autobiography of the primary author's many unfortunate medical conditions that were (of course) all helped or eliminated by strictly following the diet. The chapter regarding emotions was especially annoying. For people who don't live near a city where you have access to a wide variety of health stores, markets, and the like, you'll likely find this plan hard to follow. I also thought it was an especially financially challenging way to eat. In my opinion, you can eat healthy without having to embrace exotic, transnational fare. This book was also repetitive in the sense that author repeated herself over & over. It could have been much smaller had the editing been more vigorous & and the original prose kept brevid. As far as the transition to the Kindle, I was very satisfied. There was only one small section that had cut-off text, but you could still follow the information via context. Charts (i.e., BMI, menu plans) were scanned intact, and were easily legible even at smaller font sizes. As a patient care provider in the clinic day-in and day-out, I do feel understanding the role of antioxidants in the diet is important, but despite the good intentions of the authors, I found nothing new or novel in this book.

change your eating habits
Do not waste your time reading it unless you are serious about changing the way you eat. It is not easy but the physical results are unbelievable. But it does not work unless you work it.

Book has wrong title . . . Low calory diet
Considering that this book is titled "The Super Antioxidant Diet", I was surprised to find how little information there was on antioxidants. My wife likes its low calorie recipes. However, if you want to learn more on antioxidant foods, this is not the book. Part III, chapters 15 to 23, is not even about food. The rest of the book's title, "Nutrition Guide. A Health Plan for the body, mind and spirit" is what the book is about. To me it seems this book was written as a low calorie food health guide and then wrapped with the term "antioxidant" to increase sales. Most of the book is recipes. The word ORAC appears once and there is no comparative rating of any foods so as to define what is a "super antioxidant food". There is not even a list of super-antioxidant foods. None of the recipes has an antioxidant score, while you can find a table with the score for 5 recipes for a range of elements, vitamins, cholesterol, calories etc.In conclusion, this author should refund me, as this cover title is false advertising. I am disappointed in the content. This is lazy mass marketing at its worst!

The pounds just dropped off
Eating healthy doesn't have to be untasty or unfilling. The best how to book on the subject. The smoothie recipes alone are worth the price of the book. Our copy is well-thumbed.

The nutrition information was good, but very little new
I tend toward vegetarianism and didn't find any recipes for it. I think some things were outdated. I use a lot of coconut oil and didn't see much about it. The nutrition information was good, but very little new. Fukushima also happened since the book came out and eating any fish other than from the North Atlantic, in my opinion is not a good idea. I don't recommend eating more fish than 1x/week because of mercury.
