The leather looks good, the stitching is sylish and there are enough pockets for phone, purse, tickets, tissues etc. I have now used it on two trips away from home and it worked even better than I expected - swallowed up things like gloves, a woolly hat and so on without becoming bulgy and unsightly. The 3-inch flat bottom means that it will accommodate, for instance, an umbrella, without distorting the shape, while the tapering sides means that it remains slim-looking.
