Walker's Shortbread Glenfiddich Holiday Mincemeat Tarts, Luxury Holiday Treat, 13.1 Oz (Pack of 2)

Always delicious. Cheaper elsewhere.

I love the Walkers shortbread and was excited to try these mincemeat meat pies (BTW there is NO meat in them they have a spiced fruit mix filling, I adding that as my mom was initially shocked when I told her I was going to try them as I am a vegetarian, haha). A couple of the pies in my box had small cracks in the top pastry but I did not take off any stars as know these are not made in the US and I am now totally in love with how they taste, but it would be good if they could come up with some non-plastic protection for them. But the the taste, oh wow, I had intended to heat up one mincemeat pie for dessert as a special treat but opened up the tray and they smelled so amazing I had to try one and then another:) Next time I will heat one first and to try and make sure I do that I stored the uneaten ones in the freezer!

A favorite for the Twelve Days of Christmas. Of course they'd also be great at Thanksgiving or any cold winter's night. I warm them up for 30 seconds in the microwave — but be sure to remove each tart from its aluminum cup!

I bought these as a treat for myself, and walkers is always fantastically high quality. the essence of Glenfiddich in it was very tasteful as someone who does not like alcohol, and the crust was fantastic. the mince had a rich spice blend that was not too sweet and not overpowering, the only complaint that I had was due to the traditional nature of the mince there appear to be some occasional tiny pieces of grape seeds inside, causing hard crunchiness that is 100% tolerable but was not something I expected upon biting into the pie. I will definitely be ordering these again

A couple were a bit broken but it didn't affect the taste. I love these things heated & covered in cream. I'm glad they are seasonal or I would gain a lot of weight.

I had previously purchased the Walkers brand mincemeat Tarts and they were absolutely delicious. I decided to give these a try and I'm so regretful that I did. Now I am stuck with two boxes of horrible tasting tarts. They arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to open them and eat one. It was disgusting! First of all they are far too sweet. The amount of sugar overwhelms the flavor of the fruits that are used in the filling. It's so sugary I just couldn't eat it and I have quite a sweet tooth so that says something. Additionally I did not like the crust it was too thick and dry. If you're looking for a really good mincemeat pie or tart I suggest you do not buy this brand but take a look at the Walkers brand especially the ones that are flavored with orange and mince meat. Those are delicious. This brand however is really horrible and I do not recommend it to anyone. I guess I'll be giving Tarts to homeless people on the street to get rid of them

We always had mincemeat pies for the holidays. The crust on these is perfect. I don't really taste any Glenfiddich in them, but the taste is perfect mincemeat. The individual tortes are larger than some others I have had. I really like that.

It tastes like their single malt scotch. I ate one. The rest are still sitting in the refrigerator awaiting their fate.

イギリスにいたときにクリスマスになると必ず食べていたミンツパイが食べたくて購入しました。2012年のクリスマスの前に買ったのですが、賞味期限は2013年の5月末で、レビューにあったようなアルミカップの腐食もありませんでした（改善されたのでは）。12月25日から、パイを温め、生クリームをかけて、家族と半分ずつ食べ、12個を一昨日食べ終わりました。ウイスキー漬のドライフルーツはそれほどではありませんが、周りのビスケット生地は非常に甘くて（賞味期間を長くするためでしょうか）、最初はとても美味しくいただきましたが、さすがに後半はきつかったです。イギリスで食べたパイは、賞味期間がこれほど長くなかったので、その分それほど甘くはなかったように思います。イギリスでは、クリスマスプディングが有名ですが、私はミンツパイの方が断然好きです。イギリスのクリスマスを味わってみたい甘党の方にはお勧めします！

Well, I haven't tried them yet. I have to wait for Christmas . . . but the order was a very timely delivery which is always appreciated and wonderful. I'm fairly certain they will be delicious!

Und geschmacklich ein Gedicht wie alles von Walkers, wie mir jetzt glücklich vermeldet wurde. Stehen bereits auf der Liste für das nächste Weihnachtsfest.

Als Geschenk gedacht gewesen, aber leider war die Verpackung derart beschädigt, daß es unmöglich noch zu verschenken war. Der Geschmack ist nicht überragend. Für den Preis erwartet man mehr.
