WALRUS OIL - Furniture Oil, 100% Natural. Finish, Restore, and Protect Wood. VOC-Free, 8oz Bottle

This product exceeded my expectations. I used it on an unfinished mid-century piece to hang coats and bags from. It did a beautiful job. I sanded, applied multiple coats, and let it cure. It was easy to work with. The finished result is beautiful.

I bought a small container of this to try for some projects using white oak and black walnut. I'm very pleased with the finish and will be buying a larger container once this bottle is finished. It's easy to use and provides a lovely food-safe finish. One downside is that the directions call for waiting 2-4 weeks for it to dry fully (though I washed and began using the cutting board after one week). Also, the label says to discard it two years after opening the container, so I'll try to avoid buying more than I can use in two years.

Used this on raw wood (after a light sand) inside a giant French walnut armoire that was so faded and even a year later it looks amazing and is smooth and you can run your hands over the shelves without getting splinters. It soaks up quickly though and use a thick rag to rub it in. I’d definitely buy it again!

I was originally looking for 100% hemp oil, but I thought I'd give this a try since the other oils (tung and safflower) are also natural and food safe. It completely revitalized wood that had been damaged by sun, salt air and rain. Nothing else I'd tried had worked, and I thought I was going to have to sand the wood down and refinish it. This oil provided a lovely finish without having to sand, and it also smells nice and natural. I like the fact its food safe and doesn't smell like chemicals.. I love how happy it has made my wood. I just bought a second bottle.

So this oils looks great on the few types of wood I’ve tried it on. I put it on Oak and African Padauk hard woods in my projects. It dries quickly but does darken the color of the wood a little. Overall a very good product for the applications I use it for. Definitely worth the money.

I got an old second hand butcher block topped bar cart that had oxidized stains on it. After removing the stains, the butcher block needed to be refinished and this did the job well without changing the nice light color of the wood more than a shade or two. It looks brand new!

I loved using this product on a recent epoxy resin table. This is very oily and thin, and sinks deep into the wood right away! (Don't pour directly on unfinished wood as it will sink in faster than you would prefer. It soaked in and clarified the Clear epoxy deep pour I created on my table. I finished it off with the Walrus Oil furniture wax, which I highly recommend to protect the finish.
