Hair-raisingly static but does the job
I recently bought this Victorian costume for my daughter, and overall, it’s been a big hit! The design is beautiful great, and just what we were hoping for. Despite being made of shiny polyester (couldn't get further away from a Victorian fabric), the colours are rich, and it gives off that classic Victorian vibe. My daughter loves it. However, there's one downside: the fabric generates a lot of static! It doesn’t take away from the overall look or fun factor, but it’s something to be aware of. I’d still recommend it—just be prepared for a hair-raising time with the static!

Ordered for a child needing to dress up for school. Item arrived on time and the recipient loved it. Ordered large size as child was on the cusp of the next age bracket. It fitted fine with plenty of room to grow.

Shiny Fabric
I was very disappointed that the dress & pinafore, which are attached & can’t be worn separately, are made of very shiny, silky fabric as bought for a school day where pupils were to dress as workhouse children. However my daughter was delighted with it . I’d suggest buying a size larger as I bought 9/10 years for my very slim 10 year old and it was a bit of a struggle to get on.

Victorian costume
Bought this for my daughter for a school event. It was nice but very thin. The belt also wasn’t very long so bowing it was tricky
