I bought to hang over the back of a leather couch because my small (10 lb) dogs like to perch there. Stays in place pretty well without slipping off. WASHING: These throws are real cotton; not a synthetic blend and therefore will shed during the first few washings. Wash separately and dry on cotton setting cleaning the lint trap out every 15 mins or so.
