A&D Medical UA-651BLE Bluetooth Blood Pressure Monitor, Cuff 8.6-16.5”

I did a a lot of research before buying the A&D Medical Deluxe.... My Prior BP monitor was from Microlife bought at Costco, Microlife was very inconsistent in its readings within the same sitting forced me take measurements 1/2 dozen times to get what i thought was accurate... Naturally all our BP very greatly with stress and taking them at different times but this was just bad. This time I spent a lot of time looking prior to making the purchase. ** The A&D Medical BP monitor is fast, accurate, and successfully sends the results to my Iphone 6 (currently running IOS 9.2). The BP cuff just slips over your arm and is easy to tighten *** It also does not get too tight as some cuffs do, its pretty gentle. Info and Research for others: As your probably aware one should avoid wrist monitors as they are much less accurate. Now a days you can get BP monitors that simply measure BP and Heart Rate. Ones that can be manually hooked up to a computer to download results (too much trouble at least for me). And of course now there are ones with bluetooth that can send results to your phone for review by yourself or your doctor. I found that the highest rated units on Amazon did not have Smart phone connectivity.... Not because ones that send data to smart phones are worse at BP monitoring, but because of course companies vary in their ability to provide the capability and users the savvy to take advantage of this functionality so that it works across all phones and users. I fond BP monitors without connectivity had up to a 98 percent approval rating. Ones with smart phone connectivity topped out around 85 percent approval (4 and 5 star reviews [ I personally take 4 and 5 star + 1/2 the 3 star reviews for Approval and 1 and 2 star reviews + 1/2 the 3 star reviews for disapproval]) for all my research. When looking, most important of course is that BP is measured accurately. You will find people giving 1 star reviews because of issues with connecting to their phone brand/model even if they admit the BP is measured accurately. Sometimes its IOS versus Android compatibility or merely the model of the phone or its OS. The connectivity for smart devices depends on Blue tooth versions which change over the years, as does the operating systems on the phones that support it. And of course the Software from the BP Monitor manufacturer. Remember as well generally Blue tooth connectivity is never going to connect with any device of any type 100 percent of the time without occasional re-paring or issues. So far I have not had issues. Brands: There are much bigger brands like Omron that have devices that start around $72. Prices for smart BP monitors range from $45 to $200. I almost bought one of the Omron smart BP monitors though the reviews were mixed as was the customer service reports. The nail in the coffin for Omron for me was Amazon dropped the device for direct sales because of complaints (you will see this when you try to check out with Omron from an Amazon partner). There are also a number of "new" $100 to $200 monitors that have cropped up that strictly toot their blue tooth connectivity to a smart phone. I looked up all of these I could find like from Withings, Pyle, QardioArm, ihealth and they all had very mixed reviews and in a number of cases these were for accuracy, not just sending the data to your phone. I then came across the A&D Medical BP monitor and read every single review since there were only 72 at the time. Most were 4 and 5 star reviews. Most of the negative ones for issues with Android connectivity though there were some issues with IOS as well. Worked great for me though. At $45 dollars its in the same range as many dumb BP monitors. As A&D is sold by Amazon you can not loose with their generous return policy if you find your experience different then mine. You should remember to have your Phone on/unlocked, A&D medical software opened as the foreground application. Doing this and you should have no connectivity issues.

I had to buy this one because my mom kept stalking mine. Hey other ones kept breaking. Lone that it is compatible with Samsung Health and loads the results automatically into my phone without having to open any app, which is the primary reason of why I purchased it. Been having mine for almost a decade and works just as well as on the day I first bought it. Compared it with the one at my doctor's office and shows it's very accurate. I had to buy a new arm thingie because it did worn down after almost 10 years. Definitely recommend.

Woohoo! Finally got a Blood Pressure Monitor that easily links to Samsung Health and helps get my data into a common application, making it easy to monitor and track the data. This device is portable though would require a little room in your baggage. It comes with a nice travel bag that makes it easy to put it all together in your luggage so you can more easily carry this with you. I appreciate that this monitor uses AA batteries (versus the AAA batteries that the other monitors that I have acquired seem to favor). I tend to be able to get the batteries that I like more easily in AA sizes, so this makes it a bit easier to handle my battery requirements. Tracking my blood pressure should get much easier with this device as I use it over time. Being able to track the history in Samsung Health app will be really useful for me as it makes it easy for me to see and also makes it easy to bring up the information when I am in the doctor's office for a regular visit. Definitely happy with this purchase.

This device is great and it was relatively easy to integrate with Home Assistant via ESPHome. It seems to be relatively accurate. My doctor was satisfied. A quick internet search shows these to be clinically validated which means they are held to a high accuracy standard. I would buy again.

I love the App. It allows me to track my weight and blood sugar as well. I can then see a chart displayed weekly or monthly. I can’t swear by the accuracy. The DIA number seems to be correct but when my husband uses his manual blood pressure monitor and I compare the two, the SYS number on this one is always 5 points or more lower. So now I just add 5 points to whatever number it gives me. The DIA number is the most important and this seems to be in range. Aside…I have lowered my blood pressure significantly by paying attention to sodium on food labels and cooking more. I don’t use salt in my cooking instead I use the DASH brand and fresh herbs for spicing my foods. I found out that in most cases the smaller the serving size, the higher the sodium content is on most products. I started looking for low sodium foods and I found no-salt chips, pastas and pasta sauces as well. FLORA has a homestyle pasta sauce with no salt added. Gia Russa also has one and if you have a SPROUTS store near you, they have Michael’s of Brooklyn and their house brand no-salt classic marinara. I use Barilla whole grain Penne pasta. It had 0mg of sodium. (Plse note - I am not been paid for this review). I’m sharing because it took me a long time to find these products. Fast foods and Thai foods have lots of sodium, I was eating lots of Thai curry dishes and this contributed to the spike in my BP. I also found out that restaurants will prepare fish and some chicken dishes without salt if you ask. I’m weird but I now travel with some DASH Southwest Chipotle seasoning blend in a small container and sprinkle on my fish or chicken when I go to a restaurant since I order it without salt. Of course we know that food is only a part of the equation, our weight and mental health also contributes to high blood pressure. Let us become proactive and try to take back our health…Let our food be our medicine, and let medicine be our food. Good luck on this journey!

Love the product especially the companion app that loads on my smart phone. Easy to setup and easy to use and automatically syncs to the app on my phone providing historical readings which are graphically represented in the app either weekly, daily or historically. I can export these readings and email them to my Dr. for instance another great feature. Only downside, I count 2 and they are in comparison to the UB-351 model also made by the same company that I was using for a while. The A&D Blood Pressure Monitor is a little bulky, but this is easily overlooked taking into consideration the rich feature set. The smaller UB-351 is great but the UB-351 does not sync to an app hence the upgrade. 2nd downside, the UB-351 reader had what they call a WHO classification Identifier, which basically took your readings and mapped them on the screen to whether your readings were Optimal, Normal, Mild Hypertension, Severe Hypertension etc. I consider it a great shame that the App for the A&D Blood Pressure Monitor does not do this. After all, this could programatically be added to the app and thus providing richer data to the user. Other than those two downsides, this is a definite buy. H.

As a standalone Blood Pressure Monitor, the UA-651BLE is fantastic. It is easy to use and quickly provides accurate and consistent results. It has been clinically validated according to ANSI / AAMI standards for accuracy. The cuff is easy to apply with one hand and doesn't get uncomfortably tight during measurements. So why isn't this Blood Pressure monitor getting a 5-star review from me? Simply put, the Android app is an absolute nightmare and functionally useless. The UA-651BLE launched in 2014 lacking Android support. In July of 2015, an Android app was released and I was excited to finally utilize the Bluetooth function of this BP monitor. After a disappointing and frustrating 20 minutes I have come to the conclusion that the app is useless. The setup processes seemed pretty straight forward. Create an A&D account for cloud storage of your readings and pair the BP monitor to your phone. The problem is that the BP monitor never properly syncs to any of my Android devices. Even though my devices have paired with the BP monitor, the app has no memory of being paired once the app is restarted. This means you have to go through the re-pairing process again and again each time you launch the app. After a blood pressure measurement your readings are supposed to be synced to the app but I have yet to see a single reading successfully sync. I have seen nothing but error codes after my measurements and have frankly given up on this aspect of the UA-651BLE until this app is fixed. It's extremely disappointing that the Android app was not released until half a year after release of this product. With this considerable delay you would expect the app to be polished and at the very least working upon release. If you are purchasing this Blood Pressure monitor with the intention of storing your readings on your Android devices look elsewhere, this is not the BP monitor for you.

Easy to use and very simple to connect to MySugr app. Battery powered for mobility or a purchased separately AC adapter. Comes with a nice carrying/storage case.

Habe dieses Gerät gekauft wegen der Kompatibilität mit Samsung Health App. Ja es funktioniert. Daten werden übertragen. Die Kopplung mit dem Smartphone war nicht einfach. Ich hab tausendmal das Pairing Bluetooth durchgeführt bis es geklappt hat. Bei ca 4 von 10 Messungen erkennt das Gerät den Blutdruck nicht. Das ist so schmerzhaft dass ich das Gerät gar nicht mehr nutze und ein anderes Blutsruckgerät gekauft habe. Das andere ist leider nicht mit Samsung Health kompatibel aber hat seine eigene App. Definitiv zu teuer für die schlechte Performance. Und die Lieferzeit war mehr als 1.5 Monate, das war sehr nervig.

Works really well, have the app open when you do the reading and it pings across every time.
