This pump has been a great addition to my fish tank. It's quiet, easy to install, and provides a strong, steady water flow. It has been running reliably, and I like that the flow can be adjusted when needed. Overall, it's a solid value and works exactly as expected.

I've got a weird situation so I was asking a lot out of this little pump. I put together an 8 foot moss pole for my pothos. Now I live in Arizona and there's no way I'm clambering up a ladder twice a day to water my moss, so I had to come up with a more permanent solution. I ran a hose through the bottom of the planter and up through the moss to the top, bent the end of the hose 180 degrees, slit the underside of the curve, then packed in the sphagnum. The pot is elevated on a concrete deck block so it's not sitting directly in a tub of water. Everything relied on the performance of this little pump. And it works! It works beautifully! Right now the pothos is small so I've got about five foot of moss not doing anything. I've been tucking cuttings in there as I make them and they're rooting faster than ever. And they're big, fat soil roots, not thin water roots. Installation was a bit tricky because the hose I got that's supposed to match the pump was too small for the smallest attachment. I had to use a heat gun to fit it on. The fitting was the size of the hose exactly. But maybe the narrower hose is giving me the 8ft lift. When you add up the cinderblock and the pot itself, this pump is pushing water up exactly eight foot and it's set almost as low as it can go. It's not a tiny trickle, either. It's a continuous, gentle stream. I have no idea what the pump can do if set on max because I don't want to risk a fountain of water hitting the ceiling of my study. But all you have to do is twist the lever in the front, so adjustment is easy. It's set on a timer, so the pump is experiencing the stress of frequent off/on cycles and so far, it's not complaining. I'm not going to rate it on filtration because it's really only able to filter enough to protect itself. For that, it works fine. I think that any fish that's larger than a fry would be okay. And it's quiet! All I hear is a hum and if a fan is on I can't hear it at all. I've got enough room in the tub for another small plant setup, so that's next on the list. I'll definitely be buying this brand again.

Awesome little pump. Does just as it should. Has plenty of pump power. Very quiet. The price is great too. You can use this little thing for ponds or draining a swimming pool. It doesn't take long. Would recommend buying it

I've used this for 2 and a half years until it finally started falling apart. The small plastic guards by the impeller broke off making it incapable of reducing flow. I only use this capability to reduce the chance of sucking up smaller fish on certain tanks, otherwise I use it at full flow. I do recommend using the largest fitting and hose if you have large volumes of water to change. This will drastically reduce the time it takes to change all the water. After much tinkering, I finally bought a 1/2" MPT to 3/4" MHT so I could thread a regular garden hose to it. This gave me the most flow without the chance of kinking the soft PVC tubing that is typically used. I also had the parts from the python water changer so I thread the other end to the python at the sink so I can empty the tanks to the sink then reverse the flow with the sink and fill the tanks up. As far as specification rating, I didn't personally measure it so this is just anecdotal. It doesn't have the highest head height but it isn't rated that high either. I don't think it truly reaches 800gph, but I also think most pumps on Amazon are grossly overrated. However, it pumps plenty fast enough for my needs. Unrelated, I was able to use it to pump RO water from my basement upstairs to my garage so I could fill my car radiator for a coolant flush. It only stopped pumping once I held the hose about chest height. So it still could pump up about 10 feet with reduced flow. For maximum flow, definitely try to pump it to a destination that is equal to or lower than the source. With all that being said, now that it is finally falling apart, I am now buying a second one. I do wish they held up longer, but it's hard to complain about the price. I will say, in 2020, they only cost $15, but it is what it is. I also browsed the many pages of Amazon for an alternative (mainly looking for more flow) but this seems to be the best option without buying one of the massive pumps that just wouldn't work in most of my tanks.

I’m very happy with this VIVOSUN submersible pump. It has great water flow, runs quietly, and works exactly as expected. The pump is compact but still provides plenty of power, and the different nozzle options make it easy to adjust for different setups. The included power cord length is convenient, and the pump feels well made. It was easy to install and has worked great for keeping water moving. I also like that it can be used for multiple applications like ponds, aquariums, fountains, or hydroponic setups.

Our fountain really looks good and sounds good. It has 4 bowls and the water fills a bowl, then spills over into the next bowl. I like the LED lights in the bowls, and I put an LED spotlight on it as well. We sit out on the deck and it sounds nice on a quiet night and the lighting is just right. We enjoy it in the daytime as well. I would give the fountain 5 stars but for 1 thing. The pump was pitiful. It started out well but after a couple of months it became very weak. For the winter I emptied the water and did not set it back up until the middle of March. It was so weak that the stream was not steady and it splashed, wasting water. I may have been able to get another pump from the seller, but didn’t bother. I ordered a different pump from Amazon. It is this VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump(3000L/H, 24W). Is it too much for this fountain? Yes, but it was only $25 and I set it ¼ of the way open, so it doesn’t have to work very hard. I like that I can dismantle it if it needs cleaning. It puts out a steady stream and does not splash. It comes with 3 sizes for the tube and one fits just right. Even though we have two bird baths out back, the birds like this fountain also. We used to have a typical 3-tier fountain that splashed terribly and kept the bed that it was in wet. Then I tried a cascading fountain and pieces of the slate broke off. But this fountain is much better. With the steady stream (with the new pump) it doesn’t splash.

I have done multiple tests to validate this pump for my needs (not aquarium) First test: was to see if the max lift is really 10 feet. The answer is no, it is Max of 9ft with a very slight trickle, maybe 1 gallon a hour at 9 feet lift. Second test: flow rate with a 6 foot lift through different diameter tubes. 3/8 inch inner diameter tube with a lift of 6 feet: 60 gallons per hour. 1/2 inch inner diameter tube with a lift of 6 feet: 120 gallons per hour. 1 inch inner diameter tube with a lift of 4 feet (sorry didn't have 6 foot): 300 gallons per hour. Both tests done with 3/8 and 1/2 inch tube were ran though a total of 12 foot before they exited at 6 foot lift. I also measured the power draw for each test. 3/8 tube : 23.8 watts 1/2 tube : 26.6 watts 1 inch tube : 29 watts (only 4 foot lift) Sound level is low and for my application is a non issue. Overall: the pump is nice, as long as you do not require high lifts this pump should do good. Flow rates improved a lot at lower lifts but I do not care about that since my application requires 6 foot. I would consider 6 foot to be the max USABLE lift and 9 foot the max lift but with almost zero flow. The pump construction seems nice and sturdy. The 3 included hose fittings screw in nice and are sturdy. The suction cups are strong enough to lift a empty 5 gallon bucket off the ground (2-3 pounds).

Seems to be working just fine for my pond I expect 2.6 ponds per hour refresh rate which will be more than sufficient for my 3 lucky carp. It's only been running for a few hours so difficult to decipher it's durability. I can't even hear it running over the babble of the fountain so it definitely is quiet operations. If this operates through the winter and keeps my fish alive I'll consider it a deal at this price.

So far, so good! Bought this to replace the very old one that finally gave up its ghost that I use in my water fountain feature. Easy to set up and it pushes the water up through the hose with ease. Great price considering I paid double for my former one. Would recommend !

Elle est utilisée en continu dans un système vertical, et j’avais besoin d’un débit suffisant avec une bonne fiabilité, tout en restant silencieuse. ✅ Ce que j’ai aimé : Installation facile : la mise en place est intuitive, avec une ventouse qui adhère bien. Débit ajustable : très pratique pour régler la puissance selon les besoins de ma tour. Silencieuse : elle tourne quasiment sans bruit, parfait pour une utilisation en intérieur. Économie d’énergie : elle consomme très peu, ce qui est un vrai plus en usage 24/7. Fiabilité : elle tourne en continu depuis plusieurs jours sans aucun souci. ❌ Ce que j’ai moins aimé : Le câble d’alimentation pourrait être un peu plus long, surtout si on veut garder le transfo à distance d’une zone humide. Pas de notice en français (mais honnêtement, ce n’est pas indispensable vu la simplicité). 💬 Conclusion : Une excellente petite pompe pour une fontaine ou une installation hydroponique DIY. Elle fait parfaitement le job, discrètement et efficacement. Rapport qualité/prix top. Je recommande vivement pour tout projet similaire.
