Supergirl Volume 2: Girl in the World TP (The New 52)

After defeating the Worldkillers, Kara is saved from a stand off with the US Army by a young Irish woman with a unique facility for learning languages. Siobhan Why the takes Kara home and Kara begins to settle into life in Earth until Black Banshee triggers the curse which creates the Silver Banshee. Later, Kara learns what happens on her last day in Krypton. A very strong collection, with fabulous artwork and a good mix of fun, action and tragedy.

Super girl is back, just when I was getting to really like supergirl again they go and change the entire universe. This supergirl has a lot more scope and I look forward to seeing how she handles her new life!!! Thanks DC!!

Great read, I really enjoyed it. it stands up the first volume in terms of narrative and keeps you hooked right to the end. can't wait to read the third :) Supergirl is one of the only characters that is better now (New 52) than she was in previous incarnations. really interesting and I hope she attracts enough readers to keep going for many more volumes. The thing I like the most is that she breaks the trend of super hero comics and is very much an Alien to earth, everything is new and confusing, he handles it well. seeing her interact in English (a language she is learning) then seeing her use her native tongue in also fascinating, the creative team do a good job of showing how hard it is to 'get the point across' when you don't speak the language, someone very eloquent and educated can come off as a bit stupid if she doesn't know the words to use. I enjoyed it.

I loved this reboot of the Supergirl title right from the first time I read it. The way they kept the same classic character with a few new twists is great. My only issue is that this volume seemed a little slower paced than the first, but maybe that's what they intended. Giving a bit more time to developing Kara's character. On the whole, this was a very enjoyable read for a longtime Supergirl fan. I'm not quite sure where this series is going, but that's half the fun. Can't wait for the next one.

I am here because of the tv show but have always enjoyed graphic novels as well. This has wetted my appetite for more being the original source of the character and drawing on many years of ideas and development.I have already ordered the rest of the series and can’t wait to read on.

A good fun read, something which is lacking in a lot of recent DC output. With the introduction of a few more characters, the Metropolis that Supergirl has come to inhabit is really starting to take shape and it is reassuring that thus far at least she is more than willing to stand up to her more esteemed cousin, Superman.

Excellent condition, and an awesome supergirl series for this new 52 version.

good read

very good… there was some depth in the story line. especially the world of dreams and nightmare after consumed by the black banshee.

Can't wait to read volume 3! :)

Recomendo a compra do volume 2 do encadernado, já que irá demorar bastante para ter esse lançamento completo no Brasil. Boa folha, capa brilhante e acabamento honesto.
