Review: Mother inlaw approved - So my brother inlaw bought his Spanish mother a stove that none of her pots works with. Not one pot, pan, nothing. Let that marinate, a Spanish mother's pots and pans cant work with this magic stove ge paid alot for. So I being the greatest "son" buy this hot plate for my Spanish mother inlaw because I need to eat. I heard swelling of her eyes but no tears when she got it, but it was close. She says its better then her original stove that she had for decades. Loves the fact she can dial in the temp her words. And yes fellow country outdoors hunting fishing rednecks plugs into my truck and works like a dream off the back tailgate. Buy it.
Review: Very powerful - I don’t often write reviews but I have to this time. This thing gets really hot fast. Very easy to use. Simple controls. In fact if I had anything negative to say it would be hypothetically it might overheat even though I’ve never seen evidence of that. Why I say that is I believe it has 7 heat levels and I use setting 2 to boil large pots of soup. When I first got it I set it to seven and it boiled crazy fast but the burner was so hot so fast it can cause things to stick which eventually would burn. Level 2 heats it a bit slower but you still need to stir a few times before it comes to a boil because stuff still sticks a little bit. I wonder how consistent this is across this line. I have considered mine is tuned too hot but now that I never go past level 2 it’s not a problem. I bought this after returning a different brand that took forever to boil and actually would sometimes never boil at all. This is the exact opposite. So if you want a very powerful burner knowing it may be too powerful on its highest setting, and manage it, this is for you. If you want something that doesn’t even get hot enough to burn anything buy something else.
