Works great! Relatively easy to install if you previously had an entertainment center wired in. Screen display is very nice.

Had professionally installed to work around a sunroof. TERRIBLE operation. The buttons are not physical buttons but rather some sort of opto-touch button. This makes it really hard to operate. You don't know if you have pressed the button or not. Only about half the time (or less) will it actually power on when the screen is opened - the depression switch seems to get stuck in the closed position. The other half of the time the images (including their opening screen) shows all pix-elated. DVD playback is all really jittery. This is the case with multiple DVDs, including some that play fine on a different overhead DVD unit that we have. Overall a pretty frustrating experience using this. Too bad a hole is already cut in the ceiling :/ Picture quality, when it actually works, is pretty decent though.

Love it, it can connect to car Bluetooth and has its own speaker. At first I was thrown off about the other reviews but they were wrong. It is touch censored they are not buttons, it’s touch so it’s nice and comes with a remote, the quality of movies playing depends on the movie make sure they aren’t scratched and still good condition, it’s great I tested out 2 different dvds and one was not good quality because it was scratched up the other was amazing. My kids love it and it’s a great size screen. If you have the right tools you’ll be able to do it at home easily, you are just as good as your tools. It’s very durable 👍👍

Edited 03/18/2022: I found that the lid button gets stuck which is what caused ours to quite working. Once I figured that out it has been working well. We bout this for our SUV. I installed it per manufacture instructions and it worked great. The 2 days after our return date the screen no longer comes on. Buy something else, don’t waste your money and time.

This replaced our minivan's stock screen. This is a nice upgrade being bigger, but can't tout the glories of it's resolution or brightness or color. And there's some kind of electrical/magnetic interference that can causing waving and banding of the screen. Wasn't too tricky to install, but had to get creative with mountain and getting some extra hardware from our local hardware store. Had to modify the mounting plate with a drill and dremel, but it's in and it works. The buttons are not actually "Pressable" buttons, just touch/capacitative buttons. Touching them works just fine and haven't had any issue with connecting the RCA to our stereo or navigating menus. Only tested the FM transmitter for a minute and was able to connect it to the stereo directly, so I can't speak to that. The sound coming out of this while playing DVD's from the unit had an annoying whine to it, but not when we play the DVD through the stereo and into this screen. So, that's what we're going with. So, it's nothing special, nothing great, but it works in our 2004 minivan and the kids haven't complained (they're little).

Installed professionally into my 2007 Honda pilot. Fits well and isn't too bulky. Works as I hoped it would. The only complaint is that there is a constant high pitched buzzing noise that gets higher/lower with the acceleration/deceleration of the car. The install company says this can be filtered out with a separate type of plug that I can get installed later if I want to. Listening to it isn't necessarily a deal breaker but its extremely annoying for sure. Picture seems decent and the sound (other than the buzzing) is great (hardwired to my car speakers). Would recommend, assuming this buzzing noise gets taken care of next week. I purchased the extended guarantee because this is a cheaper DVD player and I want it covered just incase, hoping I never have to use it though!

It works and keeps my toddler content on short or long distances. I was able to hook this up myself using the audio plug ins and hooking it straight up to the battery since I had no previous wiring for a dvd player in my van. It was told to me that a local mechanic would install it for 450 but I just did it myself and I'm happy with it! Painting on the buttons could be better it's already rubbing off after 3 weeks of installation.

We got it in July for a 20 hours trip vacation and it worked great, but by end of November the picture went black it still plays but you can not see the picture at all so it does not work... its cheap and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. WASTE OF MONEY!!!

This roof monitor looks much more modern and stylish in real life than in the product photos. The 13.3" HD screen is bright and clear, and the 1280x800 resolution is perfectly fine for movies during long trips. I especially like that it supports HDMI, USB, and SD cards, so there are several easy ways to play content. The included interchangeable covers are a clever idea and help the monitor blend better with different car interiors. Installation requires some patience and planning, especially with cable routing, but the final result looks very clean and almost factory-made. The IR headphone function is useful for passengers, although compatibility with some headphones may depend on the model. The DVD player feels a bit nostalgic in 2026, but it is still handy for older movie collections. Overall, a very good choice if you want a larger roof screen with a modern look and multiple media options.
