Good purchase
Love it, it can connect to car Bluetooth and has its own speaker. At first I was thrown off about the other reviews but they were wrong. It is touch censored they are not buttons, it’s touch so it’s nice and comes with a remote, the quality of movies playing depends on the movie make sure they aren’t scratched and still good condition, it’s great I tested out 2 different dvds and one was not good quality because it was scratched up the other was amazing. My kids love it and it’s a great size screen. If you have the right tools you’ll be able to do it at home easily, you are just as good as your tools. It’s very durable 👍👍

Very Poor product quality
Had professionally installed to work around a sunroof. TERRIBLE operation. The buttons are not physical buttons but rather some sort of opto-touch button. This makes it really hard to operate. You don't know if you have pressed the button or not. Only about half the time (or less) will it actually power on when the screen is opened - the depression switch seems to get stuck in the closed position. The other half of the time the images (including their opening screen) shows all pix-elated. DVD playback is all really jittery. This is the case with multiple DVDs, including some that play fine on a different overhead DVD unit that we have. Overall a pretty frustrating experience using this. Too bad a hole is already cut in the ceiling :/ Picture quality, when it actually works, is pretty decent though.

Works great! Video, and audio are great!
It works and keeps my toddler content on short or long distances. I was able to hook this up myself using the audio plug ins and hooking it straight up to the battery since I had no previous wiring for a dvd player in my van. It was told to me that a local mechanic would install it for 450 but I just did it myself and I'm happy with it! Painting on the buttons could be better it's already rubbing off after 3 weeks of installation.

Worked well then broke 2 days outside the return date.
Edited 03/18/2022: I found that the lid button gets stuck which is what caused ours to quite working. Once I figured that out it has been working well. We bout this for our SUV. I installed it per manufacture instructions and it worked great. The 2 days after our return date the screen no longer comes on. Buy something else, don’t waste your money and time.

Great size , being handy helps with the installation process!
I disliked the wiring diagram but it’s easy to trouble shoot . Way easier when there was already a previous install! Love the fm transmitter function. To avoid scratched dvds which already have some trouble playing for some folks try using a usb flash drive with movies already loaded. Overall it’s a pretty good product. We are happy with it , especially the kids!

Good for the price
Installed professionally into my 2007 Honda pilot. Fits well and isn't too bulky. Works as I hoped it would. The only complaint is that there is a constant high pitched buzzing noise that gets higher/lower with the acceleration/deceleration of the car. The install company says this can be filtered out with a separate type of plug that I can get installed later if I want to. Listening to it isn't necessarily a deal breaker but its extremely annoying for sure. Picture seems decent and the sound (other than the buzzing) is great (hardwired to my car speakers). Would recommend, assuming this buzzing noise gets taken care of next week. I purchased the extended guarantee because this is a cheaper DVD player and I want it covered just incase, hoping I never have to use it though!

Look elsewhere!
One of the worst things I’ve ever purchased. At this price point, it would be fair to expect basic functionality. However, after mere hours of operation, it has turned utterly useless. I HIGHLY do NOT recommend this product.

Not great, not terrible. Cut corners in weird places
Initial impression review, will update as I go. Box came in in fine condition, brand new unit. First thing I checked was the mounting bracket. It comes mounted to the unit with what I think are 10-32 screws, but you will need longer ones if you're putting it behind the headliner. Secondly I wanted to confirm the AV connections (which I won't be using immediately) it has both RCA in AND out in the wire harness, but they're not labeled. You can either trial and error the 50/50 or pull off the back cover and trace the wires to the main board. I traced them and then labeled the AV out with some tape in case I ever want to use it. All the other wires are labeled, including the FM antenna wire. Box also included remote, covers, and female RCA to 3.5mm male jack. Update 1- FM transmitter puts out a very annoying high pitched ringing on all channels as soon as it is activated, pitch is around 10Khz and probably due to poor shielding/interference within the unit. Speakers work fine although they are obviously very tinny. Our car doesn't have Aux input so we're stuck with the bad FM antenna. I wish there was independent volume control over the FM transmitter to possibly cut down on the noticeable interference HDMI works fine, although I wish the connection was in the back of the unit so I could feed it to a more inconspicuous location. Viewing angle is VERY shallow vertically, and seems to be wider to the left of the screen vs the right. Positive door dome lights work. One led in the panel seems to stay on indefinitely, so that's unfortunate. No point in having it and it will obviously put a small drain on the battery, even if it's practically nothing. Unit will not power on without Accessory power or full ignition when wired as intended, just fyi. Haven't tested any truly HD content, but the display can only physically put out 720p- and that's if the tech specs are really true. Either way, it will accept 1080p and downscale to 720ish Update 2: Unit will not play MP4 videos from SD card slot. Displays one item and freezes. Ringing on FM transmitter is incredibly annoying. May try and shield components with foil or something. Still haven't tried USB. No easy way to cycle through FM stations other than digging into the system menu. Should've been a button on the remote.
