I could of chosen the medium for a longer, more lose fit but I didn't want it to be sagging once wet. The color is more green than blue and a bit darker than expected. Overall a great swim bottom. The rise is higher than most bottoms and that's a plus. As far as the durability of the color in pool water, I haven't tried it yet.*update* I ordered the burgundy color as well and is a tad different. While the color and material is still just as good, the burgundy one feels a bit loose, it rises a bit more, and it doesn't sit as high on my waist maybe because it doesn't have the band on the top like the green one.
