I wasn’t expecting this to work. And even if it did work, I was expecting my hair to come out incredibly damaged. I can’t begin to explain to you how shocked and happy I am with how my hair looks after using keragen. I have fine 3C hair that frizzes with even a touch of humidity. I followed the instructions, and left the treatment on for 40 minutes. Due to the fact that my hair is so fine, I used the flat iron at 410° instead of going any hotter. Although you don’t have to, I didn’t wash my hair for three days after the treatment. I am now left with virtually straight hair (there is a slight wave near my crown but it gives body to the roots, which I like), that is shiny and healthy looking! Basically my hair looks the way it used to after I would straighten it with a steaming, hot round brush and flat iron for an hour. I’m so happy I found this product. Just follow the instructions on the bottles or on the included instruction card and you’ll get the results you’re hoping for

If you follow the directions, this treatment absolutely works. I used to pay $300+ every few months to do a Brazilian. Was tired of the expense, so researched DIY alternatives and this one was one of the top contenders that came up. It absolutely does what it's meant to, but it's important to know what to expect. 1. This stuff smells STRONG, I mean NUCLEAR. Make sure you do it outside or in a really, really well-ventilated area. Wear a mask if possible and keep kids/animals away, especially during the blow-dry part of the process. These fumes will make your throat burn and eyes water - it is NO joke. 2. When it comes time to blow-dry, start with a rough dry until your hair isn't sopping wet. Then go in with the actual round-brush. This will save you a ton of time and does not impact its effectiveness whatsoever. Take it from someone who's being doing this at-home brazilian for 2+ years. 3. One down-side or side-effect, if you will - your scalp will inevitably flake. This won't happen immediately, but after the first 2-3 washes, you will start to notice dandruff. This results from too much product getting onto the scalp (technically, you're supposed to keep it directly off your scalp, but thats next to impossible). It sucks and it's annoying, but after 3-4ish washes, it goes away. IMO, it's a small price to pay for smooth, frizz-free strands, but it's important to know so you don't freak out like I did. 4. Lastly, pool/ocean water will shorten the life-span of your treatment. I live in Miami, swim a lot, and learned this the hard way. Try to keep your hair out of the water if you want your treatment to last. If you follow the instructions and keep these tips in mind, you'll be good! 10/10 - cannot recommend enough!

This keratin system for my hair has been excellent! I have 3c hair and I’ve gotten many compliments on how good my hair looks since treating my hair. I’ve had a treatment done in the salon before and after the wash out my curls were half straight. However, with this system, my curls were uniform and they looked really good. Good enough to where if I wanted to wear it curly I could. Drying time and straightening time in between treatments is a was a breeze for me especially since I realized it was best to wash my hair once a week after the treatment. The smell is a little strong but after u blow dry it it’s ok. A little sticky after but once you straighten your hair with the treatment in it it’s ok. My curls did start reverting back after 3 months. My sister also used it and she has 4a hair. She washed the treatment out same day and it still came out shiny and smooth. You could run your fingers through her hair! 10/10 Im defiantly getting this system again.

I have struggled my entire life, trying to tame my hair. It’s definitely not as bad as other peoples, but still challenging. My hair has never looked good until I discovered using a hair straightener. When I straighten it, it’s the only time it looks healthy, tamed, and shiny. I have naturally wavy hair, which I like, but I can never leave it that way because I have so many wiry ones that can’t be tamed without a ton of product. My hair also tends to get really poofy after drying because it’s really thick, not super frizzy though. I have tried all kinds of different mousses, porosity shampoos/conditioners, hairspray, gels, and serums over the years. I can get the poof down, but it comes at the cost of my hair looking wet all day and doesn’t take care of the wiry flyaways. I stumbled across a Reddit thread last week, where someone suggested keratin treatment to the poster, who seemed to have the same issue I have. I wasn’t going to waste hours and hundreds of dollars getting this done at a salon, so I hopped on Amazon and researched some different brands and settled on this one. I applied myself and the process only took a couple hours. I have mixed feelings because I am extremely happy with the outcome of using this product, but also kind of pissed it took this long to find something that works. I am very glad I found this kit, and grateful that I no longer HAVE to straighten my hair in order to wear it down without it looking like absolute crap. These kits should be on the shelves of every store that sells hair products.

Awesome product!!! Will definitely buy again when needed it actually works! My first time using a product like this and I am very pleased with the results my hair is smooth and very soft! I have very long medium curly hair, so I followed instructions which were easy to read and followed with 1 change I did rinse out with water the product from my hair after 30min of letting is set for my first time I didn't want to do longer and I didn't want to leave it in as the directions say then just blow it and style and the product has a strong (NOT BAD) smell that made my eyes water. So, I rinsed and then blew dry my hair then flat iron it. I love my hair!!! It's hot and humid weather for the past couple of days and will be for a couple of more weeks so far day one my hair STAYS flat and NOT frizzy!!!!! My hair is glossy and soft!

Between perimenopause and using an infrared sauna almost every day, my hair turned into a total mess. I bought this keratin treatment and finally tried it, and honestly, I don’t know why I waited so long. It’s amazing. My hair looks healthy, shiny, and light again instead of dry, brittle, tangled, and unruly. I’m definitely not going to wait this long to use it again.

I am a licensed cosmetologist and I have used several different products over my 30 years and this is my new favorite. It is easy to use and the fumes are not as intense as other products I have tried. I will continue to purchase this product

I really like this treatment. It leaves my hair softer, smoother, and easier to manage. It also helps reduce frizz. Overall, a good product, but I expected slightly better results.
