I was a little concerned because it was a kids kite and the shape as to how it would fly, but it did not disappoint at all! It was super easy to put together and my 7 year old had it flying on his own without instruction (had never flown a kite) within two minutes of being out of the car. We got it as high as the string would allow and it was easy as pie to fly. Very happy with this purchase. My other son ordered an eagle kite and it was IMPOSSIBLE to fly, so go with this one!

This was a great kite. Almost too easy if there is such a thing!!! Kids loves it. Toddler loved “flying it.” It looked very cool. We had a few kites that day and this was by far the best bang for its buck! My dad is a fisherman and got a kick out of the shark design.

Pretty good kite. Minimal directions to assemble it. A little disappointed with the fraying after one use.

The set up process took about 10 minutes since it was out first time assembling a kite in over a decade, however. Once we figured it out, it flew perfectly and the string was very strong despite how strong the wind was. It flew very nicely and I can’t wait to take it out again.

Had a great afternoon flying this in a pretty strong wind on San Francisco Bay. It seemed to hold up well. Assembly was slightly confusing because there are several cross-struts to it and it takes a moment to figure out which goes where, the instructions are not at all clear. But other than that it was a perfect kite for my 8 year old.

Very easy to assemble, looks awesome, lasted only 3 hours at the beach, strings broke and it flew away.

My son, who's 3, loves it. We live in Colorado and when the wind comes we take this out. Grabs the wind very well, pretty easy to get it in the air. Overall, it's a good buy for some kite flying fun. Would buy again.

The first thing we noticed is that because there was no way to connect the cross pieces that went the length of the shark's main body and across for the fins, these poles would just bowl out to one side, no matter which one was on top. And then the first time trying to get it to fly one of these main poles split. So it was basically trash after that. It was one of the presents I had bought for my grandson's 6th birthday at the beach. Needless to say we ended up having to go and purchase another one which cost less than what I paid for this one and it flew with no problems whatsoever. I feel like either this was a poor design or it was incomplete and should have come with a connector for the cross pieces.
