Weld was broken on the barb at the bottom of the bowl. Threads were striped out on one of the legs where the eye-bolt goes through. Because of the time and hassle factor - and that we have welding tools, we fixed the problems. Still, it's a shoddy piece of merchandise. Not everyone has a welding or tap & die set in their basement.

Stand seems sturdy enough but spike in the middle had very poor spot welds the popped off the second we mounted the tree. I welded it back on and painted it, works fine but this could definitely be improved.
