FujiFilm FinePix AX655 16MP Digital Camera w/5x Optical Zoom

I bought the refurbished camera of this, because it was marked down in price a lot. I kept my fingers crossed and expected the worst, knowing that amazon would take it back if there were problems. There weren't. I don't know what they did to "refurbish" this camera, but it's like new. Maybe they even put in a new LCD screen cuz there wasn't a scratch or fingerprint anywhere. It works perfectly. I'd been using a 10yr old camera that does at best 4 megapixels, and I'm loving the high quality shots of this one. It tells you when its stabilizing the image for you if you have shaky hands, and has smart features to know when or not to use flash (you can also turn it always on or always off). The low light pictures are much better than I've seen before, and the video is beautiful. Works great with my SD card, switching between viewing pictures and take pictures mode is simple as pressing the shutter button to go back to taking pictures. There is a huge array of picture options (but it's made easy by an auto-detect feature where the camera picks the best one for you) and navigating the menu is simple and easy to figure out. I didn't even bother to use the CD manual for this product, it's that easy to use and not complicated at all. The zoom works pretty well too and still has good clarity on the shots. I raised butterflies this year from caterpillars and took pictures of them.....you can see every fuzzy hair on their back. LOVE love love this camera. Fits in my pocket for easy transportation and zoom lens folds neatly back into the camera by itself when you turn it off. Starts up very quickly and shuts off fairly fast too. I'd say about 2 seconds. This is much appreciated when I want to save battery power by not having it always on, but want it ready for something I suddenly want a snapshot of. Takes 2 AA batteries to power it. I've been using rechargeable NiMH and they work fine with it, and last a good many hours too. This camera was a wonderful buy. I love it!

This camera surprised me. We bought it at WalMart, to replace another digital camera that was broken, and we didn't want to pay a lot of money, so we bought whatever was cheapest, without being too rock-bottom cheap. I wasn't expecting much out of this little guy, but it has been a fantastic camera! We've owned it for 3 or 4 years now, and have not had a problem with it at all.It shoots fine indoors and outdoors, IF you know what you're doing. In other words, you have to set the Shooting Mode correctly for the environment, and if shooting in dim light, try a couple of shots with and without the flash at various settings to get the right exposure. A steady hand or tripod is essential if you're shooting in dim light with a long exposure.The big surprise was when we had a family reunion of my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews last summer. We had not been together for over ten years, and we wanted to get some group photos, but didn't have an extra person who could take the shots, since we wanted everyone in the frame. So everybody brought out their cameras, and we tried to figure out which ones could do a timed shot, which would allow the shooter to hurry and join the group before the lens clicked. Although there were over 20 cameras there, and some of them were VERY expensive, it was this little camera that was the ONLY ONE that could do that! I didn't even know it could, but my 16-year old niece figured it out in one minute. It saved the day!The only thing to be careful of is not to accidentally erase all the photos on your storage. We did that. But fortunately we brought it to a local computer repair place, and they were able to recover our deleted shots. Whew.Oh, and some of the patch cords that Amazon lists here that are SUPPOSED to be compatible with this camera are NOT COMPATIBLE! Be sure and be triple sure before ordering a cord for this that you get the right one.

Just got product, came in box, thought everything was good, didn’t take notice to the visual imperfections until the SD card wouldn’t click into the slot! Started looking at it more and this camera, at least the one I got was not new. Used, and doesn’t work at all.

This is my 4th Fujifilm camera. I've stuck with this brand over the years because I like the operating system and all of them have been relatively easy to use. I ordered this one prior to a cruise because I wanted a small pocket camera that would be easy to carry and use on our vacation. I'm not overly impressed. I find this camera provides mixed results. It's hard to get a sharp picture and it just doesn't seem to focus as well as the other Fujifilm cameras I own. It is a substantial small camera...it has a certain heft and "feel", but the focus aspect brings it down for me in overall rating. I find it the least user friendly camera in this regard and I actually prefer my slightly larger, older 6.5 megapixel Fujifilm camera because of this aspect. I intend to keep it and will work on getting sharper focus, but given the results so far I probably wouldn't buy it again or recommend it to others.

wonderful camera, always takes good, clear pictures. Just a note though, you can't review pics on the camera, you can only see the last one taken which works fine for me for work. Can change file size when taking pics so its easy to upload photos direct from camera. Having everything saved on SD card makes it simple to keep up with. I do have to either leave battery door open or turn one battery wrong way in between jobs or the battery drains quickly. Doing that the batteries last a month. Beautiful pic in any condition even on smallest file size setting, Thanks!

I am not able to transfer my pictures from my camera to my laptop. I tried using Windows 8 and 10. Support was not able to identify the problem.
