The Case of the Drowned Pearl: A Murder Most Unladylike Mini-Mystery: World Book Day 2020

I love the stories in this series. Although written for young adults they are still interesting mysteries for adults also. I can hardly wait for the next story.

Era da tempo che aspettavo che questo libro diventasse disponibile in Italia. Dopo ben 5 mesi dalla data di uscita in Gran Bretagna per il world book day sono riuscita ad averlo tra le mie mani. Il prezzo originale sarebbe di 1 sterlina, ma l’ho pagato 5 euro nuovo e con la spedizione Amazon Prime. Era l’ultimo ad essere disponibile ed infatti è ritornato subito introvabile. Sono una grande fan della serie “murder most unladylike” (omicidi per signorine in italiano) e questo libro non poteva mancare nella mia libreria!La storia in se è molto carina e all’altezza dei libri più corposi. È stata secondo me fondamentale per il seguito e l’ultimo libro della serie: death sets sail. Ho apprezzato che si alternassero capitoli con il punto di vista di Hazel e quello di Daisy. Simpatici anche i Junior Pinkertons.Lo consiglio caldamente! 🔝

A perfect little read for ages 9-12. I loved it.Robim Stevens books are a joy to read and Daisy and Hazel arey favourote charachters.Overall a great success for Robin Stevens and I cannt wait for the next book in the series

Good quick read With all the usual Daisy and Hazel approach to solving a murder.Enjoyed the story and loved the ending which was not expected

Great characters! I love the period in which all of these books are set. In addresses class disparity and inequality in a child friendly way. Always fast paced, exciting and full of plot twists
